2. Leaderboard & Ranking

Project positions on the feed are determined strictly by total Hype count in descending order.

• Real-Time Sorting: When any user hypes a project, the database instantly updates and resort algorithms reflect the change immediately across all connected clients.
• #1 Spotlight: The highest-ranked project receives the dedicated editorial spotlight treatment at the top of the feed.
• Tie-Breaking: Projects with identical Hype counts are ordered by submission recency.

3. Hype Points & Regeneration

Hype points represent community endorsement. Each account is equipped with an automated regeneration wallet:

• Automatic Refills: You receive 1 free Hype point every 30 minutes automatically.
• Inventory Cap: Free Hypes regenerate up to a maximum cap of 5 Hypes. Once your balance reaches 5, regeneration pauses until you spend points.
• Spending Hypes: You may cast Hypes on any project on the feed, including your own projects.
• Multi-Hype Allocation: Users holding multiple Hypes can spend them in batches (+1, +5, +10, or ALL) via the button dropdown.

4. Project Submissions

Submitting your project gives it immediate exposure to the HypeNow community. Submissions adhere to the following guidelines:

• Account Limit: Each registered account may submit up to 3 active projects maximum.
• Authentication: Users must be signed in to submit a project.
• Requirements: A valid project submission requires a clear Project Name, an active public URL, and a brief descriptive tagline.
• Automatic Logo & Domain: HypeNow automatically extracts the domain and pulls high-resolution favicons. Custom icons can also be uploaded during submission.
• Live Projects Only: Submissions must point to functional, accessible websites, apps, repositories, or services. Broken links or placeholder domains will be removed.

5. Click Tracking & Outbound Discovery

Each project card features a public, transparent click counter showing total visitor traffic generated through HypeNow:

• Rate-Limited Tracking: Clicks are rate-limited with a 30-second cooldown per visitor per project to ensure honest discovery metrics.
• UTM Attribution: Outbound navigation includes standard UTM parameters (utm_source=hypenow.lol) so creators can identify HypeNow traffic in their analytics dashboards.

6. Payments & Hype Packages

While HypeNow is completely free to use with automatic regeneration, users and creators who want to accelerate project visibility can purchase additional Hypes:

• Starter: 10 Hypes · $3 — Quick momentum boost for launching a new project.
• Popular: 25 Hypes · $5 — High-value package for active creators and curators.
• Power: 75 Hypes · $12 — Maximum reach and prolonged boost for serious launches.
• Secure Processing: Payments are processed securely via Dodo Payments.
• Exceeding the Cap: Purchased Hypes stack on top of your free inventory and do not expire.
• Instant Fulfillment: Hypes are credited to your account immediately upon checkout confirmation.

7. Fair Use & Anti-Spam

To maintain a trusted discovery platform, HypeNow enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against manipulation:

• No Automated Botting: Scripting, botting, or creating multiple dummy accounts to artificially farm Hypes or inflate clicks is strictly prohibited.
• Prohibited Content: Projects promoting malware, phishing, scams, deceptive services, or illegal material will be permanently deleted.
• Enforcement: Violating accounts will have their projects delisted and account privileges revoked.

8. Accounts & Privacy

Account creation is streamlined and privacy-focused:

• Authentication: Accounts are secured via email magic links and passwordless authentication powered by Supabase.
• Profile Management: You can configure your public username and display name via your Profile settings.
• Ownership: Creators maintain full ownership over their submitted project listings and can remove or update them at any time.
